Long Sands York Beach Cape Neddick, ME Engagement Session

This beach engagement session in Cape Neddick, Maine was so dreamy and fun! Taylor and Ben are incredibly sweet, kind, and clearly head over heels in love with each other. Although it was mid October, these two braved the cold and the photographs we captured were well worth it. I absolutely cannot WAIT until their wedding in September at The Barn on the Pemi in Plymouth, NH! I am loving all the beach engagement sessions I’ve gotten to capture this year and will definitely be photographing more in the future!

How They Met:

Ben & Taylor met through a mutual friend in school and have been inseparable ever since! “We both had the same best friend in elementary and middle school. He met him while doing learn to skate at 5 years old, and I met him in elementary school. We didn’t really meet until middle school, and started to date a few days after our freshman year homecoming dance. We’re both 25 years old (he is exactly one week older than me lol) and we have been dating since we were 14. We are going on year 11 which is absolutely CRAZY to me!” They took highschool sweethearts to a whole new level 🙂

The Proposal:

“Ben proposed to me in November at a park in Vermont, just a few minutes from where we live. We both are from Concord, but we went to school in Vermont and fell in love with it, so we decided to stay! He had my best friend in on the plan, and she was up visiting for the weekend and wanted to take some pictures with her new camera. They both had it planned out and we went to the park that has a reservoir, and he proposed! That night he had a surprise dinner planned and both of our families came up and we had a nice dinner all together. The thought that he put into it, just made me melt. He is really the sweetest person I have ever met. I can’t wait to marry him :)”

The Cape Neddick Beach Engagement Session:

Long Sands Beach in Cape Neddick is one their favorite spots so there was no question where their engagement session would be held! It started off a bit cloudy but thankfully the sun popped out and we captured some gorgeous, glowy images. We got a great mix of fun candids and beautiful, romantic posed photographs as well.
