This stunning Rexhame Beach engagement session was everything I dreamed of and more! I had never been nor heard of Rexhame Beach, but Sophie and her fiancé, Andrew, live in Marshfield so she recommended this one, and I am so glad we did! It was a bit of a hike from Groton, MA and about an hour south of Boston but it was so worth it. The sandy hills and tall grass blocked some of the bright sun while it was too high in the sky, but as the sun set and the golden light filled the beach, we got closer to the water and were able to capture that beautiful pink sky.

How They Met:

Sophie and Andrew met through mutual friends when she was 16 and he was 19. They reconnected and started dating after she graduated college. He popped the question in March on their vacation in Puerto Rico, and they quickly began wedding planning.

Sophie reached out inquiring with me after she saw Lisa & Ryan’s Wentworth wedding on Instagram. She and Andrew even braved the waves for some photos despite being a bit chilly in September. As if this session couldn’t be more amazing, they included their adorable dog, Nico at the session! German Shepherds are one of my top fav dog breeds so when they told me about him, I knew we would get along haha.

The Engagement Session:

One of my tricks to keep Nico’s attention was to place one of his favorite toys in my belt. There is nothing I love more than when my couple’s include their animals in their session. (I’m hoping to one day get a cat with a harness on a leash…)

We started off the session with Sophie in a beautiful, flowy white dress. Sophie was a natural and I got so many great candid moments of them together. Nico joined for this part of the session and we got some gorgeous shots of them together. They then changed into their second outfit and they popped some champagne on the beach. After I sent the full gallery, she told me that she absolutely loved them and that I did an amazing job capturing their personalities. Which is definitely my goal!
