I am so glad the weather finally held up on Sunday night, this session was worth the wait though! As great as cloudy days are for photographers, nothing beats golden hour portraits with a gorgeous sunset in the background.
Nicole and Dave got engaged on May 3rd, and it was so sweet! Dave laid out roses all over the floor leading into the dining room, where he had printed photos of them on the table. Is it just me or is this straight out of a movie? So perfect!!
Not only was their engagement session right in my hometown of Groton, MA, but their wedding venue is right next door in Westford, MA at the Westford Regency! Unfortunately my new best friend, Niko, (their adorable 10 month old husky pup) won’t be there to celebrate the big day, but he did take part in their engagement session! So basically, it was the best engagement session ever. (Fun fact, my favorite breed of dogs are huskies!)
Nicole’s sister tagged along and was the official treat-giver for Niko, because getting a husky puppy to look at a camera isn’t the easiest thing to do without treats! 🙂 I may have two cats but if I could, I would have a house full of Nikos! I am obsessed with dogs and I love when my couples include them in their sessions!
After we got some pictures by the Barn of Gibbet Hill we headed up the mountain of a hill towards the castle. The sun was starting to set and the sky was painted a gorgeous shade of orange. Further up on the field, there are stunning views of Groton, the surrounding towns, the fall foliage and mountains.
Nicole and Dave were great models and I can’t wait until their wedding in September next year!
